Tim J. Miller / Operating Partner, Consumer Services
Tim J. Miller is an experienced board chairman, chief executive, and growth- and transformation-focused operating executive with more than 25 years of leadership across multi-unit consumer services, franchising, and automotive services platforms.
Tim currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Franchise Equity Partners’ (FEP) residential services platform—the largest franchisee in the Neighborly system—and as a board member of Velocity Auto Care, FEP’s Valvoline Instant Oil Change investment. He also serves as Non-Executive Chairman of IMO Car Wash (owned by FEP, the largest car wash chain in the world), supporting the company’s leadership team as it focuses on operating transformation, growth, and marketing and digital evolution.
Previously, Tim was Chief Executive Officer of a $400 million car wash platform, where he led enterprise-wide operational scaling, membership and pricing optimization, real estate and development strategy, and platform integration, positioning the business as a scaled consolidator in the express car wash sector.
Prior to his current roles, Tim spent nearly two decades at TBC Corporation, one of North America’s largest tire and automotive service companies, where he served as Chief Financial Officer and as President of its B2C online platform and point-of-sale technology company. He played a central role in transforming TBC into a multi-brand, multi-channel automotive services leader through disciplined capital allocation, franchising expansion, and large-scale M&A. Tim oversaw the expansion of more than 500 retail units, executed nearly $1 billion of acquisitions—including the $325 million acquisition of publicly traded Midas, the $225 million acquisition of NTB from Sears, and the $50 million acquisition of Merchants Tire—and drove approximately $3.2 billion of sales growth, scaling the business from under $1 billion in revenue to over $4 billion by materially expanding TBC’s wholesale, retail, and franchise footprint.
