Before joining Franchise Equity Partners, Jonathan was a data lead at Carbon Arc, focusing on alternative data solutions for private equity funds, asset managers, and hedge funds. While at Carbon Arc, he developed and productized research frameworks for over 25 distinct alternative datasets including credit card data (US + EU), email receipts, clickstream traffic, app data, and housing permits among others.

Prior to Carbon Arc, Jonathan worked at Earnest Analytics as a senior data analyst. While at Earnest, he was the lead coverage analyst for 30 tickers, responsible for earnings forecasts, deep-dive research reports, management initiative tracking, and macro health monitoring. Tickers under coverage included AMZN, COST, UBER, PLAY, ETSY, WMT, BJ, EWCZ, and more.

Jonathan earned his Master’s in Quantitative Finance from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Finance from the University of South Carolina.
