Joe Brady / Chief Real Estate Officer

Joe Brady brings more than three decades of experience spanning franchise operations and corporate real estate leadership to Franchise Equity Partners. Joe began his career as a Burger King franchisee in the 1990s, gaining first-hand, ground-level experience running restaurant operations and building and managing real estate as an operator.

From 2008 to 2016, Joe served as Head of Retail and Banking at JLL, where he led the firm's outsourced corporate real estate platform for retail and banking clients, overseeing site selection, portfolio strategy, transactions and lease administration for national and regional occupiers.

Joe then joined Walgreens in 2016, where he served as Head of Real Estate through 2019, leading real estate strategy, site selection and portfolio management for one of the country's largest retail networks.

Joe is the author of "Work Shop: The Consumer-Driven Transformation of Commercial Real Estate" and is a guest lecturer and board member at the Bergstrom Real Estate Center at the University of Florida.

Joe is also a Past Trustee of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and a Council Member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI). He is Chairman Emeritus of the Lookingglass Theatre Company in Chicago and currently serves as National President (2024–2026) of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity.

Joe holds an MBA in Real Estate Development and Finance from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Villanova University.
