James Emch is an Operating Partner at FEP focused on Early Childhood Education. He brings more than 30 years of experience owning and operating early childhood education centers.

James previously owned and operated nine childcare locations in Phoenix, Arizona, where he was a hands-on operator responsible for site selection, facility development, and building management teams while maintaining a strong focus on program quality and affordability.

Throughout his career, James has served on numerous professional, regulatory, and community boards related to early childhood education, including the Arizona Department of Health Services, Arizona Department of Economic Security, First Things First, Boost by Hinge Advisors, and HarvestCall. He also served as President of the Arizona Child Care Association for 15 years, where he worked with policymakers to advance quality childcare across the state.
