Dan Albuquerque
CAO/Controller
Dan Albuquerque is Chief Administrative Officer and Controller of Franchise Equity Partners.
He has over 16 years of industry experience, most recently as Vice President at Morgan Stanley, where he served numerous private equity clients on all aspects of financial and investor reporting. Prior to that, Dan spent 14 years at Wexford Capital LP, a middle market private equity firm, in several positions, most recently as Vice President.
Dan is a licensed CPA and earned a B.A. from Iona College.

Matt Crowe
Senior Associate
Prior to joining Franchise Equity Partners, Matt was a private equity professional at TZP Group focused on making investments in the consumer and business services sectors.
Prior to TZP Group, Matt worked at Jefferies in the Global Technology Investment Banking Group, where he advised clients on a wide variety of M&A and financing transactions. Matt began his career in 2016 as an Investment Banking Analyst within the Financial Sponsors Group at KeyBanc Capital Markets, where he worked on numerous M&A and financing transactions for private equity clients.
Matt received a B.S. summa cum laude in Finance and Accounting with a minor in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh in 2016.

Robert Daniel
Partner, Head of Capital Markets
Robert Daniel is a Managing Director and Partner of Franchise Equity Partners. Robert comes to the firm with 23 years of dedicated experience providing capital to the restaurant sector.
He was most recently the Group Head of the Restaurant Banking Group at Regions Financial Corporation after 7 years of leading teams at GE Capital, Franchise Finance and 8 years in the Restaurant Finance Group at Bank of America.
During his career, he has successfully led and structured a myriad of deals including large syndicated transactions, structured sale leasebacks, dividend recaps, and traditional M&A transactions for franchisees, franchisors and operating companies.
Robert is a Board Member and Treasurer for the Sandy Springs Mission and resides in Atlanta, GA. He is a 1992 graduate of Belmont University.

Enrico DiGirolamo
Senior Advisor
Enrico DiGirolamo is Board Member for Coherent the $10B publicly traded global leader in optoelectronic components, lasers, and engineered metals where he serves as Lead Independent Director, chair of the ESG Committee, and a member of the Audit and STAR Committees.
He is an Operating Partner for AFI Partners a NY PE firm, and he is chair of GTS an Irish software start up.
From 2013-2017 he was CFO of Covisint, a carve-out that he took public and sold. From 2010-2013, he served as Senior Vice President for Allstate working on nationwide agency management. Prior, Rico was Vice President and CFO for GM in Europe completing a 31-year global career with the automaker where he held a variety of senior executive positions throughout the corporation such as CFO of South America, Chairman of Saab, President of Motors Holding, and 12 years overseas.
He has served on over 20 boards. Rico is a member of the Detroit Opera House Board of Directors and Board of Trustees, the Central Michigan University Business Roundtable, and the Archdiocese of Detroit Technical Advisory Committee.

Michael Esposito
Co-Managing Partner
Prior to co-founding FEP, Mike spent 28 years at Goldman Sachs in Investment Banking and was a Partner for 20 years.
He ran the Global Financial Institutions Group in the Investment Banking Division (“IBD”).
He served as the Co-Chairman of the Firm-wide Commitments Committee which underwrites all equity transactions; Co-Chair of the IBD’s Client and Business Standards Committee; a member of the Partnership Committee and a member of IBD's Executive Committee.
Mike is a member of the Board of Trustees at the Hospital For Special Surgery, New York Presbyterian Hospital, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, and the Inner-City Scholarship Fund in New York City.
Mike is a graduate of Brown University and Harvard Business School.

John Esposito
Analyst
Before joining the team at Franchise Equity Partners, John – originally from Greenwich, CT – was a student at the University of Notre Dame where he studied Science-Business. While at Notre Dame, John was the president of his dorm and was a project leader for Unleashed Social Ventures.

Akhil Gandra
Associate
Prior to joining Franchise Equity Partners, Akhil was an Investment Banking Associate at Citigroup covering financial institutions. While at Citi, he advised on the sale of American National Group (NASDAQ: ANAT) to Brookfield Asset Management for $5.1bn, the acquisition of MetLife's (NYSE:MET) Home & Auto Insurance business by Farmers Exchanges and Zurich (SWX:ZURN) for $3.9bn and the sale of Westcor Land & Title to The Orogoen Group.
Akhil is an Austin, TX native and graduated from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business with degrees in finance and information systems.

Riad Hallal
Analyst
Before joining the team at Franchise Equity Partners, Riad – originally from Coronado, CA – was a student at Brown University where he studied Mechanical Engineering. While at Brown, Riad was the goalie for their varsity water polo team.

Katie Haverty
Senior Associate
Prior to joining Franchise Equity Partners, Katie was a private equity professional at Sequel Holdings focused on making investments in the food and beverage sector.
Prior to Sequel Holdings, Katie worked as an investment banking analyst at Stephens, where she focused on M&A transactions, balance sheet restructurings and capital raising services. Katie began her career in 2015 in BDO USA’s transaction advisory group where she focused on third-party valuation analysis and financial modeling for private equity, venture capital and various other clients.
Katie graduated with highest distinction from the University of Kansas in 2015 with a B.S. in Finance and Accounting.

Mark LaNeve
Partner for Auto Verticals
Mark LaNeve is a Partner and Chairman of the auto dealership vertical for Franchise Equity Partners.
Prior to joining FEP he enjoyed a long career in the industry serving as President of Volvo NA and VP of Sales and Marketing for both GM and Ford.
Mark also was CMO and Head of Agent Relations for Allstate Insurance Company.
He has served on the Board of Audacy Communications (AUD) since 2014. Mark resides in Northville, MI where is he has been heavily involved in charitable work supporting people affected by Autism Spectrum disorders.

Adam Masur
Manager, Financial Reporting
Prior to joining Franchise Equity Partners, Adam was a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst at Sonic Automotive focused on data infrastructure, automation, and reporting.
Prior to Sonic Automotive, Adam’s roles included accounting and financial analysis with a focus on business process automation and ERP implementation.
Adam is a native of Lafayette, LA and attended LSU where he played on the club tennis team and received his B.S in Accounting.

David O'Donnell
Managing Director
David has over 12 years’ experience advising and investing in consumer-driven businesses.
Prior to joining Franchise Equity Partners, David worked at Elliott Management focused on public and private equity investments in the consumer and healthcare service sectors.
Prior to Elliott, David was a private equity professional at KKR focused on consumer and retail investing. During his time at KKR, David oversaw the firm’s investments in National Vision, Toys“R”Us and Lemonade Restaurant Group.
David previously worked in Morgan Stanley’s investment banking division, where he was involved in a variety of M&A and financing transactions as part of the US Consumer and Australia M&A groups.
David is originally from Australia and graduated from the University of Melbourne with dual Bachelor’s Degrees in Commerce and Engineering.

Don Reese
Partner
Don Reese has 34 years of automotive retail and finance experience. He is a current Board member of DriveTime and was previously President and CEO, where he oversaw operations of over 125 dealerships and managed a $4.5 BN loan portfolio.
Other relevant positions held by Don Reese include: COO of Sheehy Auto Stores, COO of Gurley Leep Automotive, SVP at AutoNation and CFO of Maroone Auto Group. He was instrumental in one of the very first deals acquired by AutoNation in 1997 as an executive for Mike Maroone in the Maroone family of dealerships. Following the sale to AN, Don held various Sr. Executive positions with AN in Ft. Lauderdale & later in Chicago, until he returned to the private capital space in auto retail in 2002.
Don has served on numerous boards including Holy Cross College, Old National Bank and St. Joseph Regional Medical Center and currently resides in Phoenix, AZ.

Scott Romanoff
Co-Managing Partner
Scott spent 28 years at Goldman Sachs and was a Partner for 12 years.
He worked within the Investment Banking Division and the Executive Office based in both New York and London.
He headed Corporate Development, and co-headed the Financial Institutions Financing Group, providing advice regarding debt and equity financing as well as risk management.
He was Co-Chair of the Significant Acquisitions Oversight Group, and member of the GS Bank Management and Firm-wide Finance Committees.
A graduate of New York University.

Ren Tenpow
Executive Assistant
Ren joined Franchise Equity Partners in 2021 and has over 20 years of C-level Executive Assistant experience.
Prior to joining the FEP team, Ren was an Executive Business Partner for Meridiam Infrastructure for 3 years and prior at Nationwide Management for 14 years.
She is also a Lead in NYC largest Executive Business Partner Circle teaching new and upcoming administrative staff.
